Just a quick note to wish everyone out there a very Merry Christmas, Joyeux Noël and Happy Holidays!
A deep thank you to everyone who has supported this blog over the past many years, and continues to read even though I’ve moved so far away. It’s a gift to be able to write about things you love, and have folks to share that with. Perhaps the best Christmas present of all!
And for those of you celebrating today, wherever you are, and whatever you are doing I hope you have a light-filled day with love, blessings, good food and adventure.

Feliz Navidad. We are in Lima until midnight. I had forgotten how lovely it is to have the festivities go late into the night on the Eve and then QUIET on Christmas Day. Enjoy! Joyeux Noël!
Just a quick comment on keen sandals. They have a newer model called the uneek which is even more comfortable. Give it a shot.

My daughter visited France while Paris and lots of cities were on strike. She booked her flight and hotel well in advance thinking she’d miss the tourist season and enjoy the museums and such better. What a nightmare she said. No public transportation and had to walk or take taxis that were costly and far in between. Forget Uber or Lyft….2 hour waits even if you call in advance due to congested traffic. They ended up staying in Paris but wanted to visit south France via trains…no such luck. However, she did send lots of awesome pictures of Paris.
