Love From The Boonies

February 14, 2015 by libertatemamo 39 Comments

Romance in the boonies
Romance in the desert

Yesterday we moved onto a sweet new boondocking spot so we could hide away and bask in the romance of Valentine’s week-end with only the wide open desert and the two of us alone.

It’s been almost 20 years since I first met my love and I cannot imagine a better man to have chosen as my life partner. Being the total romantic sap that I am I built him a Valentine’s rock heart, and being the manly romantic sap that he is he found it totally touching. We’ll pass the day in classy Valentine’s boonies style with walks in the desert, afternoon cookies (home-made of course), evening cocktails and a candle-light dinner in the rig. Romance at it’s finest.

Wherever you are whether solo or with a partner, here’s hoping you too feel the love today. Happy Valentine’s Day from the boonies!

Wonderfully artful heart, I can’t think of a better valentine gift & it won’t take up any space in the beast, it’s so totally original. You are so very talented. By the way I thoroughly enjoyed your very useful recent boondocking guide plus all of the other helpful RV-ing advice you have posted. We just retired last week and hope to use some of the info in your guide(s) when we purchase our 1st RV later this year.

Paul and I are lucky folks – to have partners so skilled in expressing their love with whatever is available, wherever we are. Ain’t love grand?

    Happy Valentine’s Day you two.

I love following you. My husband Joe and I are starting our new boondocking adventure in April. It is exciting and we are a little nervous. We have 2 pits and 2 chiwawas. Lol Rent out the house. Gave all the furniture to the kids. That was the hard part letting go of stuff. With your inspiration i know we can do it. We will have to live frugal!

Living frugally can be an enlightening challenge. You find new ways to enjoy life without all the “fluff”. Enjoy your adventure! I hope it turns out to be everything you expect and more!

We plan on boondocking this March near Quartzite and I’m pretty sure I know the general area where you are now (The path line to your picture had a spoiler in it). Looking forward to your review of this Valentine’s Day spot. Keep up the good work!
