Proud to be South Dakotans
Well, we’ve finally done it. We’ve left the State of fruits and nuts and gone over to the dark side of the country and become South Dakotans. It was a painless transition, in fact even a pleasurable one and a change many full-timers have done before us.
You see in the land of the free your home is where you choose it (and not necessarily where you park it, as we’ve covered previously). So, although I know practically nothing about the State (in fact I’ve never been there) I nonetheless embrace it with all the fervor of a new lover. After all, how can you not feel giddy with excitement about no State income tax and a friendly disposition towards nomads on wheels. Yes, South Dakota is the place to be.
So, with all the fanfare we can muster, supported by an appropriately strong rum and coke, we say skål to our new Licence Plates and welcome the Black Hills and the land of Rodeo. Our RV looks positively regal now.
