SP Campground Review – Cape Blanco State Park, Cape Blanco, OR

September 29, 2013 by libertatemamo 11 Comments

Just a quick update of our campground review for Cape Blanco State Park. I have to admit this may be our absolute favorite campground on the Oregon Coast. There may not be any full hookups here, but as far as privacy, campground size, raw nature & sheer natural beauty it rates a 20 out of 10! This year the campground got one more bonus when Verizon turned on 4G LTE (just this month!), thus vastly improving the internet connection in camp. We love this spot and plan to come back many. many times in the future.

IF we ever get back to the Oregon coast Cape Blanco would be my choice for places to stay! I see you signed up for another hosting tour!

Actually more of a question than a comment…are there places to bike at Cape Blanco, or should we leave the bikes at home?

Sure, although I’d probably say this is more of a hiking spot. I do know folks that bike around though.

Thanks, Nina. Sorry you’ll probably be gone by the time we get there.

Noticed there were no reservations at Cape Blanco. Any danger arriving there with no room at the in so to speak?

It’s usually not full, but worst case there are overflow sites in the horse camp area.

Thanks Nina – we’ll be there in mid August. Found your website while discovering the possibilities of taking our fifth wheel to the Olympic Peninsula. We like it’s blend of of reviews, pictures and other helpful information. We live in Tucson and are not full timers. Just get away for about two months at a time every two years.

Thank you both for what you are doing in communicating to us all!
