Happy New Year (And May 2014 Be Magical)!

January 2, 2014 by libertatemamo 25 Comments

It’s been an activity-filled few days here in the UK with sister. Amidst solid English grey rain weather there have been shockingly few photos but lots of good chats and the passing of the New Year. The latter was actually a very relaxed affair held at my sister’s place (well, apart from the hazy effect of far (far) too many drinks) and brings us now with full force into 2014. This is the time of year that many feel the urge to start anew and jump into resolutions. I’ve always been more inclined to have general life-plans rather than yearly resolutions, but when I saw my sister’s “to do” list I felt a compulsion to share. Bring balance to the Force? Raise a dragon? Now, these are goals I can aspire to. Hope you had a wonderful New Year and I wish you all a totally magical 2014. Enjoy!

Inspired things to do....
Inspired things to do….

P.S. We HAVE made resolutions in the RV, but from a much more shall-we-say “fur-inspired” point of view. If you haven’t seen them, they’re worth a re-read: Dogkittylutions for 2011

P.P.S I’m back online with my regular computer. Turns out a new charger did the trick. Yet another computer disaster averted. Phew!!

Indeed. The Dragon actually took a bit of thinking. She initially wanted to raise a dragon, but quickly realized (rather sensibly I thought) that she would need to clone a dragon first. All very logical stuff and the reason the latter is kind of squeezed in and there’s an arrow between the two 🙂

In Borrego Springs this morning after spending the night at the beautiful La Casa De Zorro. The weather is perfect as I’m sure Paul has shared with you. Our plan was for Palm Canyon today but unfortunately hubby came down with stomach bug so we will limp home after just half a day of play. Easy to see why you and Al and so many love it here ! We can’t wait to come back with the RV next winter. Safe travels!

LOL…my sis has a bit of a thing with cows, so that magnet is actually a fine set of udders. Even the board is furry cow pattern. There’s a definite theme to her madness 🙂

All the people that brought you and your sister up did a nice job on your minds. They should all be commended. That to-do list makes more sense than most I’ve seen. :O)

I really like the idea of raising a dragon too.

Oh yeah…that would be amazing! I once (many years ago) rode an elephant and it’s still one of my best memories.

OMG! I can only imagine the conversations you two must me having.
I went back and read your resolutions. My favorite post of yours, ever, was when it snowed in Tucson. You truly lived this resolution:
    5. Express Joy to Its Fullest – Never be afraid to bound with joy and shriek with happiness.
I felt so bad for the weather Tucson was giving our RV visitors but you bounded with joy!

You know that snow was one of my Fondest memories of 2013. What an amazing experience! Still can’t quite believe we saw the whole area covered in white.

Now why didn’t I have a sister who could write a list like that. What a grand time you two must be having together rain or no.
Would love to have been part of your family growing up. I can visualize the freedom. Wish my software woes were as easily solved as your hardware ones. Nice job!

Your sister’s resolutions are a hoot! I have been reading the Game of Thrones series so I get the whole dragon thing! Sincerely hope 2014 is a magical year for both you and Paul. 🙂
