Joyeux Noël!

December 24, 2020 by libertatemamo 33 Comments

Just a quick note for all my dear readers today.

We’re gearing up for our little 3-person Christmas Eve, with risalamande already made, the pantry full and Christmas music in full swing. Our nisser have been pacified, and Santa will soon be on his way. We’ll be following him as usual on the Norad Tracker, looking out for his sleigh as he passes Jupiter and Saturn in the sky, and checking for presents as they drop. It’ll be a quiet night, and perhaps not the Christmas we expected to celebrate, but I’m thankful we are all together and I think it’ll be a good one.

It’s been quite a year, and I know that many of you are celebrating alone tonight, or are separated from family and friends. I hope that you are all able to find some love, companionship & joy, despite distance and pandemic times. And I wish everyone a new beginning in 2021 with hopefully more time together in the real world, the ability to travel and explore, good health, and the blossoming of all your dreams.

So from our house to yours, I send you the best of wishes this Christmas Eve of 2020 with love, virtual hugs and a kiss from Polly.

Merry Christmas, Joyeux Noël, Glædelig jul, Feliz Navidad, and Happy Holidays to all!

Thank you, Nina! This has been quite the year! I do appreciate the new perspective of your blog. And like you, feel the age that this year brought on so suddenly. We lost one of our copilots in September and our other one is getting quite old and has cancer….Buddy keeps loving life, however, and he brings us joy every day. We settled down, and I cleaned out our rig yesterday. I am very melancholy over the loss of travel and the weight that homeownership brings. On the other hand… I bought some seeds for my garden and am making a comfortable new nest. Some new things to look forward to.

Merry Christmas Nina and Paul (and Dad),

Just wanted to wish you a wonderful and relaxing Christmas and New Year, and to say thank you for all of the amazing effort you put into your writing and updates! It truly has been one of the the most lovely things to look forward to each fortnight / month, and I do so hope you will continue your wonderful tales for many years to come!

We have had to postpone the pickup of our our brand new Le Voyaguer motorhome this year due to the virus, and it almost seems hard to believe that we will ever actually get to start our long p,Anne’s travels…but we are hopeful with the new vaccine developments that perhaps we will be able to travel to Tours in March to do the commissioning, and then, sometime after that we hope to be in your area and with luck perhaps we will finally be able to meet in person. Until then, we wish you all the best. With warmest regards, Sarah and Peter Wright

Looking back I am very thankful for the gifts you’ve given us throughout the year – your thoughts, perspectives, beautiful photos, and the sharing your trials and tribulations With us – your extended correspondence-family.
