Campground Video – Columbia River RV Park, Portland, OR

May 28, 2016 by libertatemamo 14 Comments

To wrap up our stay here in Portland, we shot a quick video of the private RV park where we always stay when we pass through town. It’s not fancy or frilly, but it’s a well-kept, clean park in a really convenient location to explore everything you’d ever want to do or see in Portland. There’s definitely some airplane noise (you’re only ~6 miles from the airport), but other than that it’s nicely quiet, very dog-friendly (TWO on-site doggie areas, plus several more nearby doggie areas), right next to a great river biking trail and has all the basic amenities you’d need. Plus the weekly rates are very decent.

If you prefer the written word you can check-out my detailed written review HERE, but if you’d prefer to see our mugs describe everything in living color feel free to watch our ~7-min video below. Enjoy!

Thanks for the tour! It’s great to see those dog areas. We’ll probably do the two park thing when we get up there to avoid bridge traffic as you suggested.

We have a reservation there in about three weeks. Looking forward to the easy bike trail access and proximity to town.

The bike trail is truly lovely. The first mile or so is by the road, but then it splits off into a separate paved trail right by the river. Lovely!

Thanks for the review of the funky Portland RV park. We live near funky Manitou Springs, CO and we love funky. It’s now on our list to visit in the future.

It’s been really nice this May. A few days of rain, but an amazing amount of sun, especially for this time if year up here. I think it’s going to be a hot summer.

yea, Hang on this weekend, dont know about the coast but Medford is going to be 108, we live over near Terrebonne and it will be 95. We are heading up to Skamania fairgrounds near Stevenson, WA for our chapter 34 rally. Nothing like a nice hot day on the coast tho. 65 seems hot over there with no wind.
If you ever are up in Oregon during chapter 34 SKPS rallies you should stop and come to one. Our chapter is said to be the most fun!!

I think we’re only going to hit 75 here on the coast, but that’s also unusually hot. Crazy, early summer coming!
